We’re Matt and Nathan Kirouac-York, two husbands with a love for travel, and especially for celebrating queer culture in unexpected places.
Through our original articles, in-depth travel guides, newsletters, social media, and forthcoming YouTube channel, we’re traveling the world with Pride, sharing authentic stories along the way.
We do this because queer people exist beyond Pride Month and gayborhoods. Because we exist not only in cities but rural areas too. Because we come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and spectrums. And because queer people have always been told to stay in their lane.

Along with my husband, Nathan York, we're proud to introduce our queer travel brand, The Gay Lane.
Founded in Oklahoma City, where our LGBTQ+ community inspired us to celebrate queer culture in unexpected places, The Gay Lane features original and evocative travel stories by my husband and myself, along with queer travel news, evergreen Pride Planners, and The Gay Lane Podcast. Showcasing the breadth of the queer travel experience, we go beyond stereotypes — and beyond gayborhoods and Pride Month — to showcase unexpected queer travel destinations, like Eureka Springs, Ark., and Louisville, Ky., and publish stories about traveling in the wake of divorce, finding community in classic car culture, and queer architecture history.
Subscribers can also join our community chat, and get full access to all archived stories and travel guides.
