About the event -
Our stories truly come alive for our viewer-readers through our images. If the subject-capture in our images is compelling, it goes a long way in gripping our viewer-readers’ attention.
However, sometimes, we fall prey to the deadly sins of photography. These sins are: Exposure (Under/Over), Greed (Unnecessary Inclusions), Dilution (of the Visual Power), Diffusion (of Story), Multiplicity (of Subjects), Division (of Focus), Satisfaction (Easy)
The attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of:
1. Correct exposure and reasons, if any, to deliberately under or over-expose a frame to get the desired result
2. Importance of pre-determining the subject before shooting a frame and accordingly overcoming unnecessary inclusions
3. Pitfalls that may dilute an otherwise gripping frame
4. Using the elements of the entire frame to bring the viewer’s focus to the subject – here, some rules and guidelines will be delved into
5. Singularity of subject
6. Ensuring subject-focus (and precluding non-subjects)
7. Working a scene and not being easily satisfied with their first snapshot.
