If you like travel, listening to great travel stories, and meeting fellow travelers, make sure you check out this event.
We will have our next travel meetup on Tuesday, January 11 at 7 pm. I (Ric) will be the host of the event, and you can learn about my travels here. www.GlobalGaz.com and about my festival - www.extraordinarytravelfestival.com
Our event is at the Sportsman on Soi 13, on the 2ND FLOOR. Sportsman will be on the right about 500 meters down the road. The Sportsman (right after the German bar) on Soi 13, is very convenient, a quick walk from BTS Nana. For more information on the location, parking, etc, go to this link: www.sportsbarbangkok.com/contact/
The meeting begins at 7 pm and members have stayed as late as 11 pm socializing after the presentation. And if you need to come late, that is no problem too!
There is no charge for this event, FREE! And thanks to the Sportsman there will be drinks and food offered with special discounts.
... and thanks to the Sportsman & Live Lounge BKK for hosting our evening.

Topic: Mali (West Africa)
The Mali War has sparked ongoing conflicts between Northern and Southern Mali since 2012, which brings a high risk to traveling in the region. Petch will share how he traveled to Timbuktu, one of the most important trading posts on the Trans-Saharan route, and navigated 450km along the Niger River back to Mopti on a wooden boat.
