I’m an Army Brat and my love of travel and adventure has been at the core of my being for as long as I can remember. As a child, we moved all over the United States, as well as Germany, finally settling in Austin, TX. As soon as I got out of college, I was off to live in NYC, Dallas and LA. Eventually, back in Texas with two children now, single, and on a limited budget, how in the world was I going to travel?
I realized that if travel was what I really wanted, I had to put it out to the Universe that that is what I wanted and do something about it and nothing would hold me back. I found ways to take full advantage of mileage deals, opportunities at work to travel, and found ways to live on a very limited budget. I was able to take my young children, now 16 and 19, to Paris, France, and Japan and took trips with my kids and my sister or my best friend all over the US and Canada. After co-writing a business book that won two best book awards in 2011, I did book promotions in several US cities and Finland, where I slipped over to Russia and Estonia.
I recently became aware that intentional travel - also known as mindful or purposeful travel - was an important new trend that dove-tailed beautifully into my already established leadership speaking and coaching business. I now have my travel coaching certification and products and services to help my audiences and clients change their lives and businesses through creating more meaningful, transformational travel.
