Over the past 30 years Chris has deeply engaged in myriad aspects of responsible tourism development and human powered outdoor recreation spanning more than 80 countries. Classically trained in communications, public relations, marketing and journalism, he has developed and honed a diverse and related suite of skills and expertise delivering vision, leadership, high-impact results, innovative strategies and creative solutions benefiting tourism, outdoor gear/apparel, fashion, retail (brick & mortar + e-commerce) and publishing industries.

The most recent 15 years Chris has served an influential role in the strategic direction and innovative development of the Adventure Travel Trade Association. A global organization with more than 1,300 members in 100 countries worldwide, ATTA Members share a commitment to the responsible development of tourism. In addition to overseeing the ATTA’s development efforts throughout Europe and Central Asia, he served as a strategic advisor to public and private organizations, tourism boards and ministries, DMOs, NGOs and development agencies worldwide. Recognized as an inspirational speaker and innovator, he currently serves as an AdventureEDU facilitator/instructor of best practices and long-range responsible tourism development planning. At the start of 2020, he launched CMDInspired to deliver global expertise in responsible tourism and human-powered outdoor recreation, as well as started the ATTA’s development efforts in Africa and the Mediterranean. Chris is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
