I started my professional career as a sales person and worked in various multinational companies in Telecom and ICT industries in Sri Lanka, then moved to Inbound tourism/destination management and climbed the corporate ladder in hospitality and tourism sector. I have held the positions of Head of marketing and General manager in different inbound tour operating companies before inventing Koon Holidays.

I holds a MBA from Anglia Ruskin university - UK, Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK), Professional member of Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (MCTH -UK) and Member of Chartered professional managers of Sri Lanka (MCPM - SL) & Alumni of Royal College Colombo 07.

I am a visiting lecturer at various higher education institutes in Sri Lanka and facilitates the younger generation by educating them about hospitality, tourism, international business & sustainability.

I have travelled over 25 countries in the world and possesses in depth knowledge of world tourism and an avid traveler who enjoys and discover the various aspects of different local cultures around the world.
