I was intrigued by travel and beckoned to explore the world early on: At nineteen years of age I waved my native Sweden goodbye from the deck of a 42’ sailboat, and never looked back. What ensued was, and continues to be a life full of rich learning experiences that have included sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, volunteering at the first ever conference on ecotourism, crossing the Andes by horseback, leading tours across Europe, and living in the West Indies, Portugal and U.S.A. My professional career to date has spanned hospitality; international education; most facets of adventure tourism from product manager and kayak guide to starting my own inbound tour operator company - to have happily landed post-pandemic at the Adventure Travel Trade Association.
My passion for helping others broaden their horizons and experience new places and cultures as I have been able to do, which includes creating economic opportunities and preserving the resources in the places we visit, is stronger than ever before.
I want to continue to help and influence the future of responsible travel.
