I was born in Quito-Ecuador, and I lived my childhood along with my mother, Anita Steinitz, and my grandmother, Trude Sojka, both artists. But there was something peculiar about my grandmother: she was Jewish, Czech and a Holocaust survivor. When my grandmother died, my mom turned the house my grandparents had built back in the 1950's into a museum dedicated to her mother's paintings and sculptures. When I graduated from high school, I traveled to France (I have the French nationality thanks to my mother), to study... Visual Arts. There, I also visited the different places where my European family had lived, including several concentration camps. I came back to Quito, Ecuador, a year ago to help my mother rethink the museum, its activities, renew its structure, and here I am.
I am passionate about everything I do. I love to show the museum to all kids of visitors, and I am full of creative ideas to improve the services the Trude Sojka museum are giving. I am open to new collaborations, because I know how important is to exchange our cultural knowledge.
I would love to share my experiences and knowledge of my museum, and learn from others around the world.
