Passionate about people, languages and Ireland as a competitive MICE destination. Actively involved in the discussion surrounding mental health in the events industry and mindfulness within the conference and corporate space.
By getting involved in this discussion, I was lucky enough to win the ICCA UK & Ireland Millenials competition 2019 for a video which I made on this topic. By winning the competition, I have been given the opportunity to attend the ICCA world congress in Houston this year. (The video is linked below)
I graduated with 2:1 Bachelor of Arts international degree in French and Spanish from University College Dublin which included a year studying abroad in the Université Bordeaux Montaigne.
In 2018, I achieved a place for the IBEC Global Graduate program which hires the top 9% of graduates providing them with practical international experience. As a part of this I am working with Fáilte Ireland within the Business Tourism division. Not only do I help Irish ambassadors bring their international conferences and events to Ireland but I also meet with international clients and sell Ireland as a MICE destination overseas at trade shows such as IMEX and IBTM. During my placement, I am completing a level 9 Post-Grad in Global Business Leadership at DIT.
Through my background in languages, I have worked extensively with both the French association and corporate markets. In doing so I have attended events such as Pure Paris and also presented to groups in French.
The role also entails extensive research with tools such as the ICCA database, tracking business development through our CRM database and Microsoft office and finally, helping and leading out on various projects such as our conference delegate research study for 2019. More detailed info can be found in the job role below.
When I'm not working or studying my languages , I enjoy travelling around Ireland, reading and sports including tennis and rugby.
