For more than 15 years it has been my privilege to put my experience and skills to use across a variety of progressively senior leadership roles in Canada's adventure travel, tourism and hospitality industries. I love a good story, have a particular penchant for visual storytelling and like to work and play outdoors.
I'm an experienced PR and media professional and classically trained photojournalist with a background in science (BSc Biology and Biochemistry), working towards an MBA in sustainability (which I anticipate completing in December 2023). As a creative, I'm an adaptive problem-solver with a deep-seated love for wildlife, wild spaces and community. I led wildlife- and adventure-based multi-day tours for the better part of a decade in Churchill, Manitoba and the Great Bear Rainforest, B.C., both as an adventure tour leader as well as guide for media guests and film crews.
I spent more than half a decade working at publications both as a multimedia journalist and editor, with my writing and photography appearing in Canadian Geographic and Canadian Geographic Travel magazines, the Winnipeg Free Press and Sun Media publications. My work has also been widely used by tourism operators, countless international agencies and local destination marketing organizations, including Destination Canada and Travel Manitoba.
