I don't think I ever really doubted that I would become a writer. But I was also hit with the travel/tourism bug as an intern with the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau. For 25 years, I wrote for newspapers and worked in radio newsrooms across the South. My work received many accolades. One of the greatest experiences of my life was having former WSB-TV anchor Monica Pearson announce my name at the Georgia Association of Broadcasters awards ceremonies. Thirty years after that internship in tourism, I am combining my two passions. I am a digital nomad with a freelance writing job that allows me to work from anywhere. Right now, I am traveling across the South looking for interesting places and people to feature on my blog and in other publications. I have other trips outside of the South in the works for 2022. I am looking forward to getting to know more people with a heart for exploring their world.
I want to joing to meet other travel professionals.
Smoky Mountains!
I really want to see Hawaii and New Mexico.
I interned in tourism with the City of Rome in the late 80s.
I want to mprove my blog.
1. We need to understand people and places outside of our world. 2. Travel is a respite and we all need one, even if our travel is just down the road to a local fishing hole. 3. We learn so much on our journeys.
