After founding a new venture in the US and working there as Executive Vice President, he entered Yahoo! Japan in the year 2000. After being a producer of Yahoo! Shopping and starting up other services such as Y! Books, Hirayama moved on to Microsoft in 2001, starting up the Microsoft Rich Media advertising department. In 2007, he joined Google and was in charge of the foundation of the YouTube advertsing department in his role as New Media Strategy/Operation Team Manager. After that he took part in the set-up of the TBS group company goomo Inc and then worked as a web producer and TV producer, putting his hand to promotions that crossed the boundraies of media to produce a new type of promotion. In 2011, Hirayama participated in the establishment of EventRegist.
