After growing up in New Hampshire, I moved to Chicago to attend culinary school. It was during culinary school that I discovered my love of writing, and a lightbulb went off. Ever since 2006, I've been writing about food and travel, starting as an editor of the Robert Morris University newspaper before diving into the freelance world. I've written and edited for companies like Zagat, Culture Trip, Travel + Leisure, TripSavvy, and Plate Magazine. In recent years, I've pivoted primarily into writing about travel, the outdoors, and national parks. In 2019, I launched a podcast called "Parklandia," about national parks, RV life, and travel with my husband Brad and iHeartRadio. In 2020, we went independent with "Hello Ranger," a national parks community blog, podcast, and social app.
I'm impassioned about travel and enjoy informing readers on destinations across the globe. It's also a pleasure to connect with likeminded individuals
New Orleans, Thailand, and Walt Disney World
A big bucket list item for me is an African safari and/or an exploration of Egypt.
Food travel-focused writing for Plate, followed by first regular travel writing job: Brand USA.
