I am Menaka, born and raised in Wayanad, a small place in the State of Kerala, India.
Wayanad is a very famous tourist destination with something for everyone. Stone age caves, an abundance of nature, adventure, wildlife etc.
My village, Mylambadi, is fortunately untouched by the hustle bustle of mindless tourism and oozes the old-world charm. It is this village which taught me that life is at its brilliant best in all its simplicity. However, after completing my studies, I wanted a taste of the city life and hence moved to Bangalore to pursue a career in Business Finance.
Living in the city made me realise the real worth of my small village. I missed my passionate and soulful life back in my hometown. After considerable contemplation, I decided to move back to my childhood home and started taking care of our ancestral farm. I started a new life, an exciting one.
My life transformed and along with it came in the desire to share all the charm that it brought, with those who can appreciate it. Thus, Aham Anubhava (which literally means “I Experience”) was born. An opportunity to be one of us in our quaint little village; an opportunity for immersive living.
My wish is to provide an authentic & unadulterated experience of my little village to passionate travellers, and also to promote the concept of a borderless world through cultural exchange.
To connect with people passionate about travel, to know about the changes happening in the travel space, to meet interesting people with interesting stories
Sustainable travel, authentic experiences, destinations
Experience, personal growth, humility
