I was born in Holland, and moved to Canada as a child. I've always travelled, and started writing about travel for The Toronto Star after years of writing about technology. I often reviewed cameras and took advantage of travel to take photos to illustrate the reviews. As the transition to digital reduced the number of freelance articles, I also added video production and currently produce videos about cameras, travel and cycling - often combining all three of my interests.
I'd like to collaborate with other travel media professionals on video projects.

South Africa - so much interesting history in a gorgeous setting.
As a freelance technology writer for The Toronto Star, my editor asked if I would like a travel assignment. He sent me to Curacao. The Curacao tourist board made sure that my days were packed with fun and interesting activities.
There are many intriguing destinations on the planet, but the attraction of staying in a room in a floating hotel that takes you to scenic and historic destinations is one that particularly appeals to me.
