My silly story began as a longtime radio & tv presenter in Chicago and Washington, DC who spent all of my holiday time showing up alone in different parts of the world. When I got kicked out of my last full time radio gig in Chicago, the only thing that made sense was to do even more traveling then take my years of broadcast experience and parlay it into creating travel multimedia. Years of interviewing people from global rock stars to owners of a tiny hidden eatery made me realise that what I loved most about my work was engaging with the people I was talking to.
For me, a stop in any location requires not only cracking open a local beer, but particularly sitting down with locals to obtain the only true story and perspective of travel: the one which is seen through their eyes.
I tend to be in Deutschland & the UK often, and I spend an inordinate amount of time in Reykjavík. All of those are mostly circumstantial, though. I truly love the Balkans, SE Asia, and Beirut.
