My daughter is from China, and our journey to unite with her sparked a near-decade long and ongoing exploration of Asian culture both abroad and in the U.S., what it means to be a transracial family, and how to bridge different communities. Traveling, learning, and telling stories are how I work to be a good father, and try to bridge North American and Asian cultures.
