I trained in hotel management and started at the bottom to work my way through the 'ranks', eventually finding myself in the sales team representing the company in South America, Europe and Asia. When the game lodge I worked for transferred their management over to a hotel group, I again started working through the ranks and found myself as the groups International Marketing Manager responsible for the marketing of 42 hotels, game lodges and resorts around the continent. With the surprise appearance of my second child I decided to leave the corporate world and started my own promotions company focusing on Public Relations for the travel industry, unfortunately due to economic downturn I was forced to extend my client base to other industries - however my passion remains to be in the travel industry.
