About this event

This workshop is for those looking to step up their photography skills and will focus on those who are learning how to make the best use of their professional equipment (DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras). But, best practices for photography apply to all photo-friendly devices so if you are thinking about moving up from phone to semi-professional equipment this workshop is for you as well.

The first part of the meetup will be a short seminar on photography best practices, techniques, tips, and tricks that everyone can use in their work. Next, we will go for a walk and take photos around the city putting your new learnings to work.

Preparing for the workshop: Bring your camera (make sure it is charged) and your questions.

Please note: This workshop is not about device-specific tricks (ie. iPhone, Android, Canon, etc) but about photography basics like lighting, composition, ISO, shutter speed, etc.
