About this event

Are you a professional in the #travel industry, a travel lover, blogger, an @Airbnb host, or just someone who would love to meet new people in the area? In this unique edition of @travelmassive MTL Chapter, we are bringing together travel companies, #startups and the many travel bloggers in the #Montreal scene. The event will involve short panels and Q&A sessions, as well as a final networking time. We want to encourage interactive learning and the goal is for YOU to make most useful connections!

Announcing our panel guests -
Alain Wong (@alainwong) from @Busbud, will share their collaborations with bloggers (which includes travel bloggers, and Instagrammers) and also share their most interesting Busbud success story of the recent "Most Instagrammed" campaign, which got them featured in many of the major online media as well as over 30 TV mentions in the US on national and regional channels. Updates will be continuously announced soon.

Frederic Aouad from Corporate Stays (@corporatestays), will talk about how important bloggers have become in the travel decision process, and how they have become an important part of the marketing mix. He benefits from travel & lifestyle bloggers as they are key in creating #content #marketing, and pushing forward a specific brand. A good tip is to host bloggers for free, in exchange for an honest review & feature of our services and experience!

Aurelie Sauthier, founder of Made in Blog (@madeinblog), is a blogger herself and media specialist that created the first global platform which connects bloggers and brands in Canada. She matches bloggers and opinion leaders to brands to create enriched brand experiences and campaigns. Made in Blog spearheaded successful campaigns for Tourisme Montreal, CocaCola, Lole, L'Oréal, Musitechnic... Aurelie will speak about how to best reach out bloggers and manage these relationships for a successful outcome.

Lastly, Jodi Ettenberg (@legalnomads) is a #writer, #photographer, and food-obsessed traveler exploring the world since she quit her job in April 2008. She founded Legal Nomads to tell the stories of the places she visits, often through food. She is also the author of The Food Traveler’s Handbook: How to Eat Cheap, Safe, and Delicious Food Anywhere in the World and recently won a Lowell Thomas Award for best travel blog. She has been featured in the New York Times, National Geographic, BBC Travel, Singapore Airlines, CNN Travel and more. Prior to founding Legal Nomads, Jodi worked as a corporate lawyer in New York City for 5 years. She frequently speaks about social media strategy, food and travel, and storytelling. In this event, she will discuss with us amazing tips bloggers can use to engage their followers, and some of the tactics that might work in the short run but alienate communities overall.
