Hello L.A. Travel Massive members! It's time yet again for our monthly event, and after months of teasing about it, we've got a little something-something different planned for this month. For May, we've teamed up with Pure City Cycles to do a pier-to-pier "slow ride" from Manhattan Beach Pier to Redondo Pier. We love our mixers, but we love mixing things up, too, and this is a great way to mix it up by doing something a bit more casual, while also traveling within our own city.
We'll meet at Manhattan Beach Pier at 2pm this Sunday, when our very own member, Joshua Johnson, will be doling out Pure City swag and giveaways. We'll hang and take some photos, before hopping on our bikes for a slow ride down the Marvin Braude Bike Trail to Redondo Pier, where we'll take a break, snap some more photos, and ride back to Manhattan Beach Pier. We should be back to the pier by around 3:30 pm. For those who want to stay, we're going to walk up Manhattan Beach Blvd. for drinks. If you'll be snapping and sharing photos, we'll be using the usual #travelmassive hashtag, but also #PureCity.
A couple things to note before Sunday. We want to continue doing more casual, but intimate events like this from time to time, and as such, we want this to be exclusively for registered Travel Massive members. If you're not familiar with Manhattan Beach, parking can be challenging, especially on a weekend afternoon. There's street parking and some small lots near the pier, but you may just want to give yourself some extra time to find parking. Last, but not least, BYOB(icycle). However, there are places that rent bicycles right there in Manhattan Beach.
Hope to see some of you this weekend for a Sunday Funday version of Travel Massive. Stay tuned, too, for an announcement about a really fun June Travel Massive. Find out more about Pure City here: www.purefixcycles.com
