About this event

In celebration of the U.S. National Parks Service 100th anniversary in August 2016 and the new film MacGillivray Freeman’s National Parks Adventure, the nation’s DMO Brand USA will host a networking event.

The film, which has been critically acclaimed both domestically and internationally, showcases the USA’s natural wonders in IMAX 3D and is currently showing at the Museum of Natural History and in theaters around the world.

Bringing together like-minded organizations, including the U.S. National Park Service, Adventure Travel Trade Association, and Travel Massive, we are hosting a discussion focused on Tourism: Promoting and Protecting the National Parks.

Beer, wine and light snacks will be served and outdoors-themed prizes will be given away through a Twitter raffle using the hashtags #TravelMassiveDC, #OutdoorsUSA and #adventureconnect.

Following the event, we will have a limited block of tickets to visit the Washington Monument.

About:
Brand USA
Brand USA is the destination marketing organization for the United States with the mission of increasing incremental international visitation, spend, and market share to fuel the nation's economy and enhance the image of the USA worldwide.

Established by the Travel Promotion Act as the nation's first public-private partnership to spearhead a globally coordinated marketing effort to promote the United States as a premier travel destination and communicate U.S. entry policies, Brand USA began operations in May 2011.

U.S. National Park Service
Since 1916, the National Park Service has been entrusted with the care of our national parks. With the help of volunteers and partners, we safeguard these special places and share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year. But our work doesn't stop there.

We are proud that tribes, local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individual citizens ask for our help in revitalizing their communities, preserving local history, celebrating local heritage, and creating close to home opportunities for kids and families to get outside, be active, and have fun.

Taking care of the national parks and helping Americans take care of their communities is a job we love, and we need—and welcome—your help and support.
