Podcasts are great tools on virtually any subject... However, with over 2,000,000 podcasts out there, sifting through them is exhausting. Any recommendations?
I currently follow; Indie Hackers, Means of Creation, Creator Economics, The Colin & Samir Show, Influencer Business, and the Creator Lab Podcast.
Along with all my travel-specific podcasts - Shout out to Shane of Tourpreneur and the Travel Massive Podcast 🥳
Thanking you all 💜

Hi everyone! I’m Juanita Abrahams, a travel and lifestyle content creator passionate about sharing authentic travel experiences with my audience. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore some incredible destinations (primarily locally) and, along the way, I’ve learned how important it is to stay organised and inspired through the right tools.
🤳 What travel apps you've been using this year?
With social media saturated with "hidden gems" and overhyped tourist attractions, I'm curious to hear from other travellers which apps they find most helpful in:
• Planning trips
• Discovering new places
• Documenting their journeys
Here's my pick:
I've been using My Trecco (mytrecco.com) on and off for about a year now, and apart from finding great places to visit - accommodation, travel etc it's also great for well-travelled individuals or explorers to upload their authentic recommendations and UGC. A lot easier to interact with every day people's experiences vs hotels / guesthouses promoting themselves. It is also great for planning a trip.
For hotel booking I'm really enjoying Marriott Bonvoy and Accor's ALL.com apps. There's quite a lot of inventory between both suppliers and booking direct with the hotel is a way better experience than with OTAs (eg, room upgrades, late checkouts, etc)
For flights, I've been using Singapore Airlines (I'm a Krisflyer) for some award bookings, and it's a really good app if you happen to be a Singapore Airlines frequent flyer.
I also recently migrated from App In The Air (RIP) to byAir and Logmyflight.world to keep track of my flight logs and bookings.
For eSIM I've been using Jetpack Global, which is great unless you're in Singapore (not supported due to telco laws).
This is such great insight, thank you!
What a great topic to discuss! I would love your thoughts on the Pogo travel app. It's been compared to the Pinterest of travel and you can create cool pinboards on any destination you want to plan a trip to.
You can also subscribe to Pogo Plus where you can use Pogo Magic and it creates a completely tailored travel itinerary for you based on your likes/interests.
Hey Juanita, not really an app, but would love to hear what you think about our tool TrustTheCrowd.com to find restaurants. I'm obviously biased, but it has been helping us a ton in finding restaurants that fit our needs.
To not only promote our own website, I also enjoy using World of Mouth to find great places to eat while travelling.
