I'm going to photograph our 2 year old granddaughter as she experiences Istanbul and Cappadocia,Turkey. I love new perspectives on travel. Tell me yours.
I'm supposed to travel to China next month to start a new job in Wuhan. I lived and worked in China for 7 years; 2 years in Dalian and 5 years in Wuhan, with a short stint in Beijing. I miss China; the people, the food, the sights, the customs, the history and everything else about it. I have business interests there and I'm looking forward to traveling around the country and promoting it, while working with the local tourism bureaus and with other travel influencers. My employment contract is for 11 months, but after that, I will more than likely apply for a 10-year, multi-entry visa so that I can continue to do my work there for many years to come.
Freelance tour guide and travel consultant and travel blogger.
I'll be going to Porto next week. Then Croatia, and after that the Azores and Madeira. This is all work related travel though, as I work as an international tour leader. At the end of the year, I plan to take a long bicycle tour. Most likely around India. Could also be Brazil, if work sends me to Latin America. I have tour cycled in both countries in the past, but I am nowhere near done with any of the places.
Oh snap! Yes, I have wanted to visit the pyramids for about 30 years, so it will be a dream to actually see them with my own eyes. An overnight tour of the touristy area sounds interesting! Is that to avoid the crowds? Good thinking!
I’m heading to the Gold Coast, Australia next month to take my mum on her first holiday in a few years. It’s a bit different to past trips as we need accessible accommodation and assistance at the airport for her.
I feel you Ian! My mom recently has become wheelchair bound and travel planning looks A LOT different now. I'm grateful to still be able to take her on trips, but I agree that getting to/out of the airport and making sure the destination has easy places to get to requires a bit more planning than we're used to. Good luck, and also very thoughtful of you to make sure she still gets to see the world.
My husband and I are backpacking through Europe for multiple months! I'm so excited to see the tourists sites but also go off the beaten path to get experience within country side.
Next summer the family and I plan to visit 3 national parks (Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon) and possibly squeeze in either Big Sur or Mammoth Lakes. We have a son that will be 17 at that time and a baby girl that will be 1 all piled in our Jeep. I know its still 9 months away but I'm already counting down the days.
Off to London, Paris and Amsterdam this month. All cities I've been to before but going with new eyes. My hope is that we are all newly created constantly and can experience the same places differently as it's also about the people that you meet. Stay safe everyone and see you somewhere out there.
Where is your next interesting journey?

My first thought was, "I'd love to go on a food meander with Jeff in China!"
I’m going to Iceland. I love going to new places, and making memories with my family.

Thank you Ric and greetings from Porto, where I just had a nice dinner, after a long day of work, taking people to world class wineries :-)
Henrick Jeppessen says hi, just spoke to him yesterday and he mentioned one of your trips together.
Great. Henrik is a really cool guy that I enjoyed traveling with. We had good times in Gambia, Senegal and Aarhus.

We also plan to be in Egypt in October!!! I'm really looking forward to the pyramids and we planned an overnight tour of the touristy area!

I should have added; what interest will you focus on there?
