Jessie Fetterling became a travel junkie early on in life when she went on road trips across the United States every year with her family. Being from Kansas City, it was easy to drive somewhat quickly to both coasts, stopping along the way to see Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon or the town where Elvis was born. In college, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy and turned that love for travel into a career when she started writing for travel publications. She has written travel articles that were published by Where San Francisco, Prevue, Smart Meetings, Hopper.com and Time.com. Her expertise in group travel writing has taken her everywhere from South Africa to South Korea to the Caribbean. She is particularly interested in writing about food, local cultures, music and environmental awareness, and she is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
I want to join because I am a travel writer and think it would be a good opportunity for me to network and find story ideas.
