Since 2011, the San Francisco Bay Area Travel Massive has brought together a strong and diverse crowd of top travel tech, startups, tour operators, content creators, media, marketing, hospitality professionals and more.
A few important updates for Travel Massive members in the Bay Area:
1. We have joined the Silicon Valley and San Francisco chapters to form a San Francisco Bay Area Travel Massive to cover the whole Bay Area (~1000 members).
2. @kristine-dworkin is looking for some reliable co-leaders (1-3) who would be willing to take the lead in organizing and hosting regular meetups for the community.
How can you get involved?
✅ Travel Massive meetups are EASY to organize, and involve 1. Finding a cool venue to accomodate a dozen or more people for some networking, 2. Picking a date and time, 3. Publishing the event on Travel Massive, and 4. Promoting and turning up to your event.
🎉 The BENEFITS of organizing a Travel Massive meetup is that you get to meet lots of great people across the travel industry, find out about new startups and people in town, and be the connector in your community (plus, join our global leadership network).
👉 If you would like to GET INVOLVED then please comment here and introduce yourself in this thread, and I'll put together an email with everyone who responds. I know we tried this a few years ago, but let's try this again as things have changed.
Thanks to everyone for your support and being a part of the Travel Massive community!
PS: The SF community has played a big part in the Travel Massive story — it's where our first community manager (@erikahelstrom) scaled us to over 100 chapters globally, and the home of our first office at the Tradewinds Hostel co-working space.
Hi Brian, yes! There's an event in the works for next month, details out soon. We also have a callout for some co-leaders if you're interested to get involved in the chapter — see the pinned comment above.
Hi Brian, As Ian already stated, there is an event in the works and details are coming soon! I would love to hear more about your interest in co-leading the chapter. Let's talk!

Hey Ian, I'm interested in helping to co-lead!
Would love a Bay Area meet up! SF works great.
Hi! I'm a Travel Blogger and late to the party! Just learning about this group and would love to join any meet ups in the Bay Area!
I am new to the community and would like to make new friends and to learn more from others. Thanks!
Any meetups in near future?
