I'm an award-winning freelance travel writer and editor from northeast England. In addition to writing for magazines, newspapers and websites, I operate the blog Go Eat Do (go-eat-do.com).

In addition to being an experienced travel writer, I photograph. My images are often used in publications.

I've been named Journalist of the Year three times at the Holland Press Awards (2015, 2016, and 2019). In March 2020 I was named Travel Writer of the Decade by the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions. Additionally, I was awarded the 2017 British Annual Canada Travel Award (BACTA) for Best Online Content.

I cover stories about destinations, heritage, and food and drink. I have been writing about airline hospitality and covering business travel news over the past three years.
