I am a freelance writer from southern New Jersey with a degree in journalism from the University of New Hampshire. I've spent the last four years working and traveling through New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Scotland and writing about my adventures along the way. My travel stories have appeared in Vergemagazine.com, Travelbelles.com, as well as my personal travel blog, An Alternate Route ( taysaint.tumblr.com). I have also written for Washingtonian Magazine, Phillymag.com, and New Jersey Lifestyle.
Among other things, travel has instilled in me a great love and appreciation for all things active. From working the ski fields in New Zealand's Southern Alps, to attempting to surf in the wild southwest of Australia, to hiking around the Scottish Highlands, I now have an avid enthusiasm for the outdoors and am currently dreaming of the next natural playground I'll get to call home.
I would love the opportunity to meet others in the travel industry, have a local support network, and learn about new career opportunities.
