Hi everyone, a quick save the date announcement 🌟
Our next community meet up will be on August 20th.
More details soon,
Sarah
let's go!!
Hi Travel Massive Sydney! 👋
I moved from London about 6 months ago and I'm now based here in Sydney, building FigFinder (figfinder.ai), an AI travel planning platform I originally started as a London-registered startup.
I'd love to connect with fellow travelers, travel creators, and travel agents in this group. I've got a creator program for anyone who enjoys sharing travel content, and FigFinder Pro for travel agents looking to streamline how they handle client trip planning. Genuinely open to anyone here trying FigFinder at any level, whether that's the travel guide, the creator program, or Pro, and would love honest feedback either way.
Check out:

Happy to chat more, looking forward to being part of this community!
Cheers,
Ankita Sharma

FigFinder AI | Pro
hey ankita! just moved to sydney recently - i was building something similar to Fig before pivoting! happy to connect and chat :)
Welcome to Sydney, happy to have you as part of this community and look forward to meeting you soon!
Hey Travel Massive Sydney! 👋
Just moved back to Australia after 5 years across Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia - reverse culture shock is real but happy to be home.
Most recently I founded LFG, a travel discovery platform, which got acquired by Laters.com (formerly Fly Fairly), where I stuck around as Chief of Staff for a year before making the move back.
Would love to meet fellow travel folks in Sydney - always keen to swap notes on the industry, travel trends, or just hear what people are building here.
Happy to meet over coffee or the next chapter event! :)
Cheers,
Darryl

Hey Darryl, welcome back - I made a similar move a couple of years ago, the reverse culture shock is such a weird thing to navigate! If you're in the city, let's grab a coffee, otherwise see you at the next event (details hopefully in the coming weeks!).
Hey Sarah, thank you! And great, would love to grab coffee in the CBD. How can I best contact you?
You're welcome, I'll send you a message!
Hi Sydney Travel Massive,
Just saw this event on next week from G Adventures and thought some of you might be interested :)

Hi Sydney Travel Massive
Lovely meeting a few of you at last month’s meetup.
I’m a Paris-based travel reporter and author currently home in Sydney and hosting a special event this Wednesday night (22nd April) exploring Paris through film, stories, live music and photography, inspired by my book The Movie Lover’s Guide to Paris.
It’s a free event at the Pink Piano Club at Mali Ston wine bar in the Inner West, with tables available to book here if you’d like to join:

PS I also host Travel Massive meetups in Paris — if you’re ever in town, let me know ✨
Hi all, ready for our first meet up for 2026?

Hi Everyone!
I'm Jacqueline and I work for ICMEC (International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children) Australia.
We are calling on leaders in travel and tourism because we know the industry has a vital role to play in protecting children from child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). Recent cases in which hotel staff have identified and stopped abuse on their premises serve as a powerful reminder that awareness and training can prevent harm and save lives.
As part of our annual symposium this year, we are uniting the travel and tourism sector to drive meaningful action against CSEA and build safer environments for children worldwide.
Why attend?
✅ Learn practical steps to safeguard children in travel & tourism
✅ Understand your organisation’s responsibility in addressing CSEA
✅ Connect with global leaders driving industry change
Join us and be part of the solution.
The event will be held at the Sydney Harbour Marriott on November 6th 2025.
Purchase your tickets here: lnkd.in/g-JpuT8e
Together, we can build a safer future for children and a safer industry for everyone.
such an important topic - i hope to be able to make it!
I have literally just joined the Travel Massive group, Jacqueline and your post was the first I saw. Former Head of MarCom at ICMEC Australia here! So proud of the team and all the work that you're doing.
Hello, who's in Sydney at the start of December?
Tuesday 3rd December we'll be holding an end of year meet up - venue still tba so please reach out if you've got connections with a CBD location who might like to shout us some drinks!
In the meantime, get it in your calendar :) I'm looking forward to bringing more regular events for the Sydney community, so let's get together and feel free to share what you'd like to see from TM Sydney next year!
