Narrated Guides is like having a personal tour guide in your pocket. With our storytelling audio guides (available in English and Chinese Mandarin), you can explore the major landmarks and attractions whenever you want.
📝 Carefully Crafted Guide 🪶
Each guide (audio and text) is carefully crafted with the history and culture of major landmarks and attractions.
📍 Suggested Itinerary 🕺
For each destination, we provide a suggested itinerary to take the stress out of travel planning. Each itinerary comes with an interactive map so you can see where everything is at a glance.
🗺️ Immersive Travel 🗼
Click on the location once you’re there to listen (or read) all about it. Travel as slow as you like or as speedy as you like!
We are very excited about the future of travelling and would love for you to join us on our journey.

Hi everyone,
It's Kaycee from Narrated Guide here.
I first made Narrated Guide purely for myself because when I travel, I like to explore freely: No rigid schedules, no tiptoeing to see (I’m 5’3), no awkward groups.
I then started sharing Narrated Guide with friends and the wider community, which has led to some really good feedback and interesting projects.
The guides are highly customisable and we are currently working very hard to produce more guides.
The one we’re most excited about at the moment is producing a personalised guide for a hen-do / bachelorette in Verona, where the groom is going to get involved with the content and audio!
If you have any questions, feedback or ideas, please let me know!
We are also actively collaborating with content creators to produce and incorporate more custom itineraries. For example, itineraries that are more sustainable and more suitable for families with kids. If you are interested in working together, do send me a message.

Hi Kaycee, thanks for sharing Narrated Guide with the Travel Massive community!
I’m curious how you are marketing the Chinese language guides? Do you need to integrate with WeChat (eg a mini app) and handle payments like Alipay, etc?
We have a TM community in Beijing and Shanghai that is on WeChat - DM me for an invite if you’re not already in those groups!
Thanks Ian! We've been doing some prep work but haven't fully started marketing the Chinese language guides yet.
The plan is to start with our personal networks and then make use of Chinese social media marketing such as the Little Red Book, feature on a couple of the travel apps and work with influencers in China.
Looks great. What are the differences with VoiceMap?
Thanks, Matthew (Matt?).
I'd say some of the key differences are:
1. We are using text-to-speech technology so the voices are clear and consistent and production is much faster.
2. We are much more involved in the content creation process and quality control, which means less decision fatigue for the traveller trying to choose between different guides. It also means we can pick up more creative, personalised projects, such as the bachelorette trip in Verona I mentioned in my comment above.
3. In terms of the languages, the travellers can listen to the same guide but in different languages, preserving that shared experience. As an example, my mum is much more comfortable with Chinese and I am much more comfortable with English so when we're travelling together, she'll listen to the Chinese version, I'll listen to the English version and we can discuss what we heard. At the moment we're only doing Chinese and English but we will open this up to more languages in the future.
4. We focus on completely maximising the freedom that a traveller has when they travel so, although we offer a suggested itinerary, we don't emphasise that a traveller must start from a fixed spot. That means no turn-by-turn directions or GPS-triggered autoplays. You can travel however you want, whenever you want and when you arrive at the landmark or attraction site/sight, simply click into it and press play.
Hi Kaycee!
interesting concept!
checking the website now, love to know more.
Hey! I've just checked out M2adventure, some very interesting themed tours that I would have loved to explore when I was in Shanghai (albeit probably by myself). I didn't even know there was a Jewish heritage/history in Shanghai!
If you're open for a chat, I'd love to hear more about M2adventure and potentially explore whether there's some scope for working together?
sure, assuming you are using wechat, mine is: Millergodbehere
Fantastic work, Kaycee - I see immense potential here. Would love to connect.
Thanks Triv! I'll reply more in-depth via email ✌️
