When an event promises to blur the lines between reality and fantasy, it’s bound to set high expectations. The Bohoho Day Club Experience raised the bar with a dazzling spectacle of design, sunsets, and cocktails for our Travel Massive community, who stepped into a maximalist wonderland perched in Camps Bay in November.
Backed by Cape Town’s iconic mountains and with sweeping ocean views, The Bohoho is more than a venue — it’s an experience. Designed by Daniela Gottschalk, the art house channeled the spirit of a 1960s summer in Palm Springs, complete with glossy Jonathan Adler pieces, bold pop art accents and a kaleidoscope of saturated colors. The setting itself was an Instagrammer’s paradise, every nook and cranny carefully curated to evoke inspiration and awe.
Guests were greeted with a cocktail in hand and a tour led by Daniela herself, who shared her creative journey behind The Bohoho and how she built her project development and interior design firm Tinzeltown. From floor-to-ceiling windows framing the sunset to playful design elements that begged for interaction, every detail whispered luxury and whimsy.
Travel Massive Cape Town’s community is known for its vibrancy, and this event brought together the best of the best: bloggers, influencers, travel agents, and storytellers who live and breathe wanderlust. Conversations flowed as freely as the cocktails, with connections made against the backdrop of a sunset so perfect it felt like a painting.
For those who missed out, the FOMO is real. Attendees shared their experience on social media on #TravelMassive and #theBohoho, filling feeds with envy-inducing posts of laughter, clinking glasses, and dazzling views.

Overall, participants created 40+ social media posts which generated over 25,000 views and 1700 interactions — not bad for an afternoon hanging out by the pool!
It was a close race between the top three, but Sharon Waugh (@thesharonicles) had the most interactions on the day and won the prize — congratulations!
Cape Town based travel writer Pippa de Bruyn (@pippadebruyn) also covered the event, writing a "behind the scenes" article which was picked up in the UK's Telegraph:
