Rosemary Kimani, writer, and culinary explorer left a cushy corporate career to explore authentic food around the world. She co-founded Authentic Food Quest, with the goal of inspiring people to travel deeper through authentic food.
Authentic Food Quest is a resource platform that connects travelers to local food experiences. She believes people can have deeper connections to a destination and people by opening up to the local flavors on their travels.
Since 2015, she has been traveling slow through South America, Southeast Asia and Europe writing about the authentic and local food experiences not to miss on your travels.
She is also co-author of two food and travel guides - Authentic Food Quest Argentina and Authentic Food Quest Peru.
Her advice, eat local when you travel. Skip the familiar foods and open up to new flavors and tastes. Her favorite quote is by Deborah H. Cater “You have to taste a culture to understand it."
