Originally from New Zealand and 17 years in the airline industry there, I migrated to Australia in 1987. After two and a bit years in Western Australia during which time I joined Tourism Tasmania - as it transformed from The Tasmanian Government Tourist Bureau (TasBureau) - I transferred to Hobart (H.O.) into IT. In the period since I have moved through traditional back-room geek stuff, to desktop and end user support to Web, Social and Content Curation, and finally Research & Insights, before retiring in 2019.

The issue of retaining your 'home' SIM for verification messages has become a very common issue, and in many ways is the crux of the matter. In the good old days yep, you grabbed a local SIM and you were in business. eSims solve that dilemma perfectly.
