About me

Leonid is one of the pioneers in a travel startup industry in Russia. He started working in the TravelTech industry in 2010 in the first online travel agency anywayanyday. In 2011, together with ex-colleagues he founded a travel startup with which he traveled to Silicon Valley, where he met the startup community. In 2012, inspired by the opportunities for startups, he began to develop a local community of travel entrepreneurs, organizing meetups and professional conferences. Since 2013, he has participated in the launch of many startups and implementation of innovative technologies in large travel companies. The annual TRAVELHUB Conference, held since 2016, is the largest conference on travel technologies in the CIS markets. Today, Travel Startups community unites more than 20,000 Russian-speaking travel entrepreneurs. Since 2021, Leonid has been building an ecosystem of travel startups which includes more than 300 companies – working to create conditions for the development of startups with industrial partners, accelerators, exhibitions and conferences.

Leonid joined the Travel Massive community in 2012, and in 2014 began holding meetups as a Chapter Leader. Since 2014, more than 3,000 people have visited events in Moscow, Russia. In 2021, the Moscow Chapter received the status of the most active local Travel Massive community. Since 2022, he has been developing the community in all Russian-speaking markets, including Central Asia. Leonid resides in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
