Paul is the founder and managing director of FULCRUM Travel Marketing+PR; a member of the Executive Committee and Past Chairman of the PATA UK Chapter (Pacific Asia Travel Association) and a Board member and Immediate Past President of Skal International United Kingdom.
Experienced in corporate and interim management, marketing, sales, communications, public speaking, television and radio broadcasting, I have for thirty eight years been active in the areas of international commerce, tourism and leisure industry promotion, tour operating, hotel and resort representation, health care insurance and the emergency air ambulance business.
Most recently I have been managing Henning UK Services, a destination management company providing tour services for German cruise line passengers. Concurrently I'm a consultant and UK representative for Urban Cart Inc. Concierge-Maps.com – New York City and London mapping and travel advisory bureau. I have been a public relations advisor to the UK office of the Philippine Department of Tourism and from late 1999 to mid 2001 was a consultant and interim marketing director to The Elysium Club Ltd., an international hotel and hospitality group.
From 1978 to 1996 I was the UK Representative for the Macau Government Tourist, Export and Investment Office and the Macau Tourist Information Bureau. Additionally, from 1992 to 1998 – served as the United Kingdom and Scandinavia Representative for the ASEAN - Association of South East Asian Nations Travel Promotion Office. Between 1982 - 1987 Additionally l was a founder shareholder and commercial director of Asia-Pacific’s first medivac air ambulance and emergency health care insurance group, Mediplan International Ltd., which was listed in 1986 on the Second Board of the Stock Exchange of Perth, W. Australia.
I continue my travel and tourism consultancy role in the private and public sectors and advisory services for international government tourism bodies on issues of strategic vision aimed at improving UK and international business perception, profiles and recognition. Through the organisation and management of business planning, marketing, sales and public relations media campaigns, exhibitions, conferences and training seminars. As well as advising on the development and production of websites and video presentations.
