FTLO Travel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Freelance Trip Leaders primarily in the following regions staring as soon as possible:

🌎 Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Philippines, Croatia, Portugal, Lapland, Scandinavia (Finland, Sweden, Denmark), Scotland and Ireland as well as city experts for Amsterdam and London!

As a Trip Leader, you will create unforgettable experiences for our FTLO community, manage trip operations, troubleshoot issues, communicate with the Operations team, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for travelers.

Responsibilities
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and ensure seamless travel experiences.
• Handle and resolve trip issues efficiently.
• Communicate with the Operations team to confirm all reservations and client details.
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all travelers.
• Follow a detailed itinerary provided before each trip.

Qualifications
• Experience leading tours or group trips is preferred.
• Completion of FTLO Leader training and up-to-date Health & Safety training.
• CPR & First Aid certification from an internationally recognized provider.
• Knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
• Local knowledge and ability to share insider tips.
• Physical fitness for walking and other activities during trips.

Compensation
• Paid a daily rate per full trip workday.
• Compensation includes on-trip accommodation, travel to the trip's starting point, participation in pre-planned group activities, and a food stipend.
• Opportunities for salary increases based on experience and positive traveler reviews.

Schedule and Availability
• Trip frequency based on destination demand.
• Flexible placement considering personal preferences, language skills, availability, and country-specific experience.
• Full-time commitment required while on trips.
• Preference for Trip Leaders who can commit to multiple trips annually.
• Open to all ages, though trips are geared towards young professionals aged 25-39.

Admin and Luxury Travel Advisor (Salaried)

Are you ready to join the luxury travel industry and put in the work that it takes to succeed and learn in a high pressure environment? This is a full time, salaried role and ideal for a candidate who has a client handling+ an administrative background, but who also desires to eventually be a full time luxury travel professional. Please note this is an entry level position to the industry.

We are looking for someone to join our team of hard working, devoted, young and energetic travel professionals.

We are a luxury Virtuoso certified travel agency based in NYC. The primary focus of this role is to directly assist, learn from, and grow under the owner of the company functioning both as his assistant and also as the team admin. At the same time you will be taught all the skills needed to succeed in the business and provided all the tools you need to grow your own career in this business as a luxury travel advisor.

This role should be thought of as two parts. The admin/assistant position and the luxury travel advisor position. The secondary position is what you will grow into/alongside your primary role and is commission only as you are taught to build your own book of business. The position requires someone who is detail-oriented, well-spoken, well-written, well-organized and performs best under pressure.

This role does come with health benefits after your 90 day performance review. Work is weekdays between the hours of 10 AM and 6 PM EST during which you make yourself available to the agency founder/manager and his team. You will not be asked to work outside of these hours. We are based in New York City however you can work remotely for this position from anywhere, provided you are US based.

The Fine Print:

You must be incredibly detail-oriented and well written; in our industry, an error in dates or a name misspelled will cause huge problems. You also must excel in client management in order to be able to deal with our high-level clientele. Our team is young, dynamic, hard-working, and fun; all are remote and communicate mainly via Slack. Despite being remote, team cohesion is important. You must also be a hard-worker, committed to the long-term goal, and incredibly well versed at multi-tasking and prioritization.

The role will begin as a full time hourly role. Following your 90 day review, you will transition to a full time salaried position inclusive of health benefits. Travel benefits are a given but should not be the reason you apply to this role.

You must be able to take direction but also be self-sufficient when assigned tasks. Your daily tasks include some clerical duties, social media posts (Instagram), scheduling/calendar management, CRM/accounting entry/invoicing, itinerary creation, and hotel research/quote creation, responding to and following up with house clients via emails. Experience with similar roles is required. You will also be taught Sabre GDS as part of your training.
