I have authored 16 books and penned hundreds of feature articles over the years. My byline has appeared in Backpacker, Men's Journal, Men's Health, Outside, The San Jose Mercury News, Portland Oregonian, etc.. My travels have taken me to all seven continents and 50 states in the United States.
I am a member in good standing with the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA), the International Food Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), TravMedia, and a media member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA).
