I tried www.copy.ai today — an artificial intelligence content generator. I've been sceptical about such tools and this is the first time I've tried one out. I was shocked at how good the results were!
It was almost impossible to think that the content was created in just 10 seconds by an AI tool. And it made me think what does this mean for the travel writing industry...
🤖 Do you think AI-based content generators are going to replace travel writers and storytellers?
Curious to see what you think. Do you use an AI writing tool in your content creation process? Or are you completely against them?

Very excited to see everyone again after so long!
Yup I will be there talking about two businesses: www.indietravel.co and www.byway.travel
At indie Travel the mission is to empower tour guides with software to help them sell their product quickly and at scale.
indie Travel provide software that unlocks sales channels and connects Tour Hosts to customers around the world and locally - making sure that when the world is ready to travel again, our Hosts are ready to welcome them.
Byway operate wonderful holidays by train, boat and bike - Slow travel trips that take the scenic route to local stays and off-the-beaten path experiences, with none of the hassle of researching and booking it yourself.
Byway is mission focused on our flight-free, slow travel holidays and I'll hope to meet both supply and demand partners.
Send me a note if you'd like to meet to chat about either of these, I'd love to see you
I’m signed up and registered virtually but haven’t set up any meetings this year. I felt like I didn’t get much value from the event last year especially as a North American creator. Anyone else have similar experiences?
I'm also attending virtually from North America. I've heard good things about the conference from European colleagues, so I'm curious about the experience.
Best of luck! The quality of the attendees and conference is good even virtually but one thing I've definitely noticed with European travel trade shows is that most of the representatives focus on European markets. Most conversations I had ended up being "let me pass you along to our colleagues in the US since we don't work with North American media".
Only virtually this year. So far, we do not see much value in it, which is not typical for WTM. But we'll see if the number of quality leads will improve in the days to come.
I'll be there - and organising the Responsible Tourism Networking usual fringe event!
If you're in RT, here's the details. Registration required asap as limited capacity space:

Hi Chris. Thanks for your feedback! I will be in the Colombian stand LA320, pass by to say hello!
I'll be there - If anyone fancies a wee drink on Monday, I was going to settle into The Fox (right outside the entrance) from 5pm onwards to catch some friendly faces. We could turn it into a mini Travel Massive meet-up :P

Is anyone feeling the overwhealm already? In a good way. The excitement and anticipaion of a big-in-person-event, and paniking that I didn't do enough preparation. I didn't set up so many meetings this year, I wanted to get more of a feel for the event, rather than dashing about.
Always up for networking with others in our industry, but in particular if anyone wants to talk about bucket list travel destinatons, that's what makes me tick :)
Can't wait to see faces! like in real and not behind a screen.
Hi all, hope to be able to join you.
This year, Evan Evans Tours are attending! evanevanstours.com
Looking forward to the next Travel Market event in November!
