A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for Cape Town Travel Massive with Queer Eye Tours on Thursday, June 27 to experience the Rabbit Hole — a new cocktail bar at the Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel.

🍸 Here’s a few highlights from the evening:

  • The Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel showcased their cocktail bar, “Rabbit Hole”, as the main venue for the event. The Alice Restaurant was on display with their performance stage, as well as their themed conference venue.

  • We heard from Nazeem, founder of talent management agency The Drag Cartel, about their journey bringing on seventeen artists on their roster and achieving their 1-year milestone — congrats!

  • Queer Eye Tours also shared their vision for creating unique experiences for travellers in Cape Town, and their plans to relaunch their brand and website to make Queer Travel more accessible in South Africa.

  • Cape Town Travel Massive co-leader Fuad Peters shared the story of how Travel Massive started and the history of the Cape Town chapter. Cape Town ranks in the Top 5 global chapters in the community!

  • The highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by BB Valhour - an amazing Drag Artist known for shows at Lounge & Club Zer021 and events like Pride Mardi Gras.

💗 Thank you to our sponsors:

  • AB Creations, led by owner Chef Alroy Bailey, provided delicious snacks for attendees.
  • Pink Valley Wines provided a complimentary welcome drink.
  • Jess from Afrogem provided two prizes, including an extremely valuable Tanzanite pendant.
  • Bonny from Shark Explorers brought the adrenaline rush with a shark cage diving experience!
  • Stacey-Jane of African Secret provided a sports and deep tissue oil and aromatherapy sanitizing spray.

Congratulations to our lucky prize winners — Martin van Oordt, Annalie Janse van Rensburg, Roxanne Frizlar and Bonny Swanson. And, thanks to Juan for doing an excellent job as the MC for the evening!
