Welcome to the globetrotting world of James Murray. I have traveled a fantastic journey over the years. I started my career as a visual merchandiser in New York City, working with some of the most dynamic and iconic fashion designers. It was a natural progression for me to move into fashion styling. I was lucky enough to work with some of the world’s top photographers. These experiences allowed me to grow all areas of my styling skills; from commercials for global brands to stylized fashion shoots for renowned magazines. I was often booked to design sets for both commercials and photo shoots.

My extensive background in visualized styling allowed me to hone my skills as a seasoned art director for various periodicals as well as branding opportunities. The beauty of what I did afforded me the chance to travel extensively over the years. Sourcing local talent and artisans allowed each work experience to be unique in celebrating the diversity of the country and the culture in which I was working.

As I grew I realized my dream of traveling the world and sharing my experiences through photographs and writing. One year ago I decided to take a leap of faith and grab my dream. I have since been traveling monthly to far reaching places. The idea started with what I called “The Money Wall”. I bought currencies from the countries I wanted to visit and created a wall that stared back at me each day until I could book a ticket to each of those destinations. In this last year I have traveled to Brazil, Qatar, Mexico, and India. I have covered each trip extensively with my two travel companions: a camera and a laptop. Through these devices, I will bring each one of these amazing experiences to my loyal followers through my website.

In the coming months I will open up a conversation about where you think I ought to travel. I will share my travel experiences live. When my feet are in the sand, so shall yours be. When I am jostled along bumpy roads, so shall you be. As I scale the Himalayas, you will be right there with me. You will join me on a camel ride through the desert.
