A familiarization “FAM” trip aka a Press Trip, is a trip designed for traditional media (Journalists), social media influencers, bloggers, travel agents and travel suppliers an opportunity to learn about a destination, a tourism operator, a hotel chain, or a tourism board, and sometimes, all of the above. It can be seen as a great opportunity to learn but what is really involved and is it a lot of work? It is as glamorous as it seems?

Yashy Murphy is a brand marketing pro who refused to let go of her pre-baby lifestyle. She grew up in Middle East and South Asia before making Canada home. She has an MBA and over 10 years of beverage alcohol marketing experience. She has been a successful content creator for over a decade and can be heard on radio, seen on TV and her written work can be found on her blog ParentingToGo.ca, Lonely Planet, Destination Toronto and more. Yashy is also a Destination Toronto ambassador, on the TICO advisory council and on the TMAC National Board.

Indira is a seasoned communications professional spanning non-profit, news media, tourism and social justice arenas.
The news has always informed everything she's done throughout her career, whether on camera, behind camera, through public relations or writing marketing reports. She joins us as a representative of Jamaica's Tourist Board, and serves media across the Canadian market.

A dynamic leader in the travel industry. She runs Trumarketing, a boutique sales and marketing firm that represents tourist boards and hotel partners worldwide, offering innovative solutions to expand their reach. Gabriella also heads up Explorateur Journeys, curating immersive travel experiences for globally curious travellers, and oversees the Explorateur e-newsletter and online magazine, delivering insider tips and exclusive deals.

With a background in shaping some of the best events in Toronto, Tan-ya Mora hosts influencers on a regular basis at Toronto’s Hotel X. She is joined by Matt Black, the Director of Marketing & Revenue. With a deep understanding of hospitality Trends and guest experiences, Matt has played a pivotal role in positioning Hotel X as one of Toronto's leading luxury destinations. Known for his strategic insight and partnership driven approach and actively engages with the travel Community to drive impactful content.

Long time Travel Massive member, Jasmin was introduced to the community over 10 years ago when she had decided to start to blog about her global travels. She volunteers with Travel Massive as a way to give back to the same community that provided so much knowledge, friendship and support.
