A big thanks to everyone who turned out to support Travel Massive London’s Innovation Night in partnership with Stripe and the Entrepreneurs Collective on Thursday 27th June.
The event saw over 160 members sign-up to join our innovation talks and pitch competition in partnership with Stripe and the Entrepreneurs Collective at Stripe’s new London offices near Liverpool Street Station.
Five leading startups pitched their innovations in the travel and hospitality industry:
A big congratulations to NaviSavi who were selected as the evening’s winner through a combined audience and judges’ vote with Rose Wangen-Jones, Managing Director, Marketing and Destination at London & Partners and Edward Stevenson, Investment Manager at SFC Capital acting as the evening’s professional judges.
NaviSavi is a video-only travel platform that features unedited, verified clips submitted by individuals of experiences they’d recommend. NaviSavi also offers user generated content licensing from their library of 60,000 verified, vertical videos for travel brands, airlines, DMOs and tourism boards.
Wagen-Jones commented that she was “inspired by the passion of all the fantastic entrepreneurs” who presented.
In addition to the pitch competition, James Lemon from Stripe hosted a fireside chat with Georgia Aubrey and Fed Pereira from LovetoVisit and one of their backers Jonathan Heilbron at Redrice Ventures. LovetoVisit is a digital platform for people to book things to do in the UK.
Helibron commented that “Lots of venture businesses are trying to get into travel at the moment… And there is lot of innovation going on.”
A big thank to you to Stripe and the Entrepreneurs Collective for partnering with Travel Massive to host the event. Also, thanks to the speakers, panelists, startups and judges who shared their ideas and knowledge, and to all members who attended and participated in the event to make it a success. Also a shout-out to Benoit Collin, Travel Massive London co-leader for his support on the night helping to sign-in a lot of attendees!
The evening was co-ordinated by Matthew Gardiner, Director of Travel Massive London.

What a night it was. Thank you again to everyone who supported the evening.
Having a strong startup ecosystem is so important for the travel industry and the UK economy. The entrenched processes that drive operations in successful, large businesses can often prevent them from adapting to disruptive changes and embracing innovation - and that's why we need startups!
There are many things that make Travel Massive special. One of the things that I love is that we have thousands of startups and small businesses in the global community.
What kind of event should we host next? Ideas are always welcome.
And yes :-) We're already planning something for WTM!
Great photos @PaulKPorter !
